Lithium fluoride (LiF) components include windows, lenses, prisms, brewster windows. LiF lithium fluoride crystals provide excellent VUV region transmittance and have a variety of uses. Lithium fluoride (LiF) is used chiefly as a fluxing agent in enamels and glasses. Lithium Fluoride is used for windows, lenses and prisms in the vacuum UV, UV, visible and infrared where transmission in the range 0.15µm to 6µm is desired. Lithium fluoride is the material with the most extreme UV transmission of all and is used for special UV optics. Lithium fluoride transmits well into the VUV region. Lithium fluoride is commonly used as a flux and has excellent UV transmittance properties.
